Psychische und soziale Orientierungsbedürfnisse, die durch das Aufeinandertreffen verschiedener Kulturen entstehen, werden im friedenspädagogischen Dialog überwiegend kommunikativ, teilweise auch handlungstheoretisch oder praxeologisch bearbeitet. Während sprachliche Muster oft an Sprachbarrieren scheitern, können Bilder interkulturelle Verständigung ermöglichen, indem sie als Ausdrucksform des Fremden und Anderen individuelle Erfahrungen abbilden. Heike Jansen untersucht die alltägliche und therapeutische Funktion von Bildern. Dabei reflektiert die Autorin die Themen Kultur, Interkulturalität, Identität und Trauma im Kontext der Friedenspädagogik und zeigt auf, wie Identität durch Kunst und Kunsttherapie evoziert und artikuliert wird.
Abstract
Psychological and social orientation needs that arise from the encounter of different cultures are dealt with in peace education dialogue mainly in a communicative way, sometimes also in an action-theoretical or praxeological way. While linguistic patterns often fail due to language barriers, images can enable inter-cultural understanding by depicting individual experiences as a form of expression of the foreign and the other. Heike Jansen examines the everyday and therapeutic function of images. In doing so, the author reflects on the themes of culture, interculturality, identity and trauma in the context of peace education and shows how identity is evoked and articulated through art and art therapy.
